Iran executes its first prisoner convicted of taking part in nationwide protests

Mohsen Shekari has been accused of blocking a road and attacking a member of the safety forces in Tehran, in keeping with Iranian state media. For this alleged crime, Tehran carried out a loss of life sentence in opposition to him this Thursday

Iran has been rocked by protests because the loss of life in September of Mahsa Amini in police custody after she was arrested for violating the nation’s strict Islamic costume code.

Activists have warned that others may be sentenced to loss of life quickly as prosecutors say not less than seven individuals have thus far obtained loss of life sentences for his or her participation within the demonstrations.
